This morning I was checking out some of the blogs that I follow and I came across this post posted by the ladies over at Everything To Do With Books. Which led me to find the inspiration for the post over at Down The Rabbit Hole. Which led me to think about my TBR mountain and how I'm failing on my fail boat to conquer it. So now I'm asking you, what steps have you implemented to conquer you TBR pile/mountain?
I will spare you all the "gory" details about my TBR mountain. Let's just say that it's REALLY scary almost to the point of being beyond scary and I am looking for a way to work towards conquering that particular mountain.
So fellow book bloggers I am asking for your help in conquering my TBR mountain. An overflowing bookcase and stacks of books all over the place say I NEED to conquer my mountain. So Thank You in advance for any suggestions, tips, or ideas that might come from this post. I really appreciate it a lot.
Current Events:
I have been doing some thinking and I've come to the conclusion that I need to take a temporary break from book blogging. NOTE: Any tour stops that I've committed to will be honored. I have decided that I want to combine my love of books, blogging, knitting, movies digital photography and life in general into 1 blog so that I don't feel so overwhelmed. Right now I feel like my book blogging is a job, I already have one of those. My plan is to come back in the near future with a new blog and a new plan.

I wish I could say that I had willpower to not take new books out the library or buy them until my mountain was a bit more of a hill, but that isn't the case. What I'm doing right now is limiting my commitments to blog tours so that I can read books I already have. And some of those galleys from Net Galley I want to get too!
I wish I had something. I just run on a selective mode so I don't get too many on my shelf. Good luck.
My advice is not to stress about it. I know that sounds dumb and probably impossible, but just keep telling yourself it will get done when it gets done. My mom always used to ask me, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time". It always bugged me, but its true. Just take it one book at a time, don't look too much at your TBR mountain, and just take it one book at a time :)

The Book Buff: Book Reviews for Regular People
I recently did a big purge on all the books that I had read and probably will not read again. My TBRs are now on the shelves and I'll work through them one at a time.
