New review "Award"

In the past couple of months I have read SEVERAL really AWESOME books.  So many that I have decided to create a new review "Award" for the truly awesome.  I am calling this "Award" the Awesome Sauce award.  If I could bottle all that Awesome I could make one hell of a profit!

The first recipient of the Awesome Sauce award will be posted shortly.  This book truly deserves this award.  I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner!

I'm Back!

I'm back from my blogging vacation!  I was suffering from blogger burnout and it wasn't pretty.  On top of that my brother and his wife are in the process of buying their first home so we've been spending a lot of time looking at houses with them.  So I'm back and I'll be making some changes around here...I'll keep you up to date on those.

Little Break

I'm taking a tiny reviewing break.  I've been reading like crazy and have a bunch of reviews to post but I'm suffering from a bad case of reviewers block.  Bad news there.

On the upside I have found that a lot of the books that I have on my wishlist are available in my library system!  I have 19 books checked out now and only 2 of those weren't on my wishlist.  Plus, I have another 14 books that were on my wishlist "in transit" to my library.

If your looking for a way to save some money I definitely suggest investing in a library card.  This wonderful piece of plastic has saved me several times from buying books that I wasn't able to get into much less finish.  Now I am putting together a list of books to purchase from the books that I've checked out of my library! :)

Book Ban's, Challenges and oh Yeah...Happy Birthday!

It's time for me to do another Book Ban.  I've been doing pretty good recently.  I think that I've only bought 3 books in the past couple of months.  But there are a LOT of books out there that are coming out soon that I REALLY want and I need to read some of my own books and find new homes for the ones that don't rock my socks off.

I started the Read Your Own Books challenge really as a challenge for myself to read more of my own books...since at the time I had an overflowing bookcase and an under-the-bed storage box full of books.  I'm really happy to see that others are participating as well.

Oh and big shocking revelation.....I went through all the books that I had in my room and now have 3 bags of books to either donate or find new homes for.

And one last thing before I go....TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!  I'm officially 27 today.  I could have done without the freezing rain and sleet but it's still been a pretty good day so far.

Changes Coming....

I have been doing some thinking for a little while now and I have made a decision.  After MARCH 1 I will be reviewing YA/MG/Romance/Erotica (for the Erotica I will have a warning in the title)/Westerns here on the blog.  I will be changing the title of the blog slightly also.  It will go from For The Love of YA to For The Love....  I have been struggling with my book blogging for a little while now and I think it's because I have spread myself too thin with three blogs.

For those who are participating in any challenges that are being hosted on my other blogs....I will continue to post the monthly link ups for the challenges but at the end of the year the other blogs will be shut down.

Update on being hacked

After hearing from several bloggers out there in the bloggy world I have come to realize that I may have jumped ship too quickly.  After the security measures I've already put into place I have decided that I am going to remain here.  I apologize for any confusion I may have caused...believe me it wasn't intentional....I tend to do things like this when I'm really tired.

I've been HACKED!

Have I mentioned how much I REALLY don't like bad people?!  I really don't.  I like the bad people who hacked my blogger account even less! I've been doing what I can to remedy the situation but it doesn't seem to be working (dang hackers!).  As a result of this very unfortunate situation I am in the process of moving my book blogging venture to a new account.  You can find me at my new book blogging home Once Upon A Time.....  So far all I have up on there is 1 review of my first ever Christian fiction novel and some goals I have set for myself for 2011. For those who are participating in challenges that I am hosting....I will continue to monitor this account and get rid of any "bad" posts as soon as I find them.  I will also be linking my reviews back to the original challenge post from the new blog. If you have any questions you can e-mail me at bookjunkie221@gmail.com.
